Both daily span and daily point do not work as set, I am using them to turn on and off lights, but all the actions execute properly when done manually.

These type of issues are often a result of misconfigurations. Can you provide more information about your configuration to determine if it’s a configuration issue?
Oh no i should have deleted this issue, actually i fixed the problem it wasn’t misconfiguration, all the settings on mycodo where perfect.
The real issue was my raspberry pi, with rasbian lite had its time zone set to London UK, where in reality it was in Bangalore INDIA. so ya it works, but was bit of a headache until i figured it out
